Melissa Rios Zertuche is a Biotech Engineering student from ITESM (Mexico). Her research interests are revolving around the production of high value-added compounds from renewable sources such as lignocellulosic and algal biomass, genetical engineering approaches and optimization of bioprocesses. She has joined the BTL team as a Mitacs Globalink intern and is currently working in the sustainable production of biofuels and biocommodities from biomass and process effluents.
