A new member of the BTL biological team all the way from the south

Julia is from Brazil and is a new PhD student of the lab. She did her bachelor and master’s degree in chemical engineer at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). She has a background in wastewater treatment, production, purification and immobilization of enzymes. During her undergrad years, she worked with several research lines, but since 2015, she enrolled in the chitosan oligosaccharides project and her master’s was focused in immobilized enzymes to produce them in a continuous mode. She is going to study storage conditions of biomass for future ethanol production during her PhD period.
