Recently graduated from the University of Sherbrooke with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Jean-Philippe joined the analytical chemistry team at the BTL in March 2021. His passion for chemistry stems from his college training in laboratory technique, specializing in analytical chemistry. His knowledge on the laboratory scale, in addition to his experience acquired during multiple internships in an industrial environment carried out during his academic background, gives him great versatility in the field of research. His master’s subject with the new BTL’s maple syrup chair focuses on the detection and correction of flavor defects in late season maple syrup.
