Maria Gabriela Lira Rangel is from Recife, Brazil. She is a chemical engineer with a double degree from the Federal University of Pernambuco (Brazil) and the University of Valladolid (Spain), as part of a mobility program between the universities. At the Federal University of Pernambuco, she completed her master’s degree in mechanical engineering in the field of thermal processes and systems, having worked with the combustion of sugarcane biomass and the impacts of its gaseous emissions on the environment. She also has a specialization course in environmental risk analysis, having studied the effects of the dispersion of gaseous emissions from a thermoelectric power plant. She has more than six years of experience as an engineering professor of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mass transfer, thermodynamics, chemistry, and the environmental sciences. Welcome Maria Gabriela.
