Vertech Seminar

The 5th of November, the Vertech City contest took place, an event that was being held for the first time through the Vertech Seminar.

Students from all over the world had been given a challenge: imagine a greener city. Ten projects were selected, including two former college students in Victoriaville. It was a team planning to make the city of Quebec greener, consisting of Joey Labranche, Olivier Sylvestre, Maxime Lemonde and Dany Roy, who won the first prize of $ 5,000.

The audience was composed overwhelmingly of mayors of municipalities in Quebec. Much has been very challenged by the project. A meeting is already scheduled with the mayor of Varennes and Jean Roberge to assess the possibility of establishing this project. A meeting with the people of Quebec may also be developing.

The experiment was so successful that the organization would like to try it again at the next Vertech conference in Namur, Belgium.
