This week (last week of October 2020) the BTL got news from NSERC saying that our project, involving the Comité de Développement de St-Romain and Aménagement Forestier Coopératif des Appalaches got funded. The project will be aiming at addressing once and for all the bud taste in late season maple syrup. The team will investigate how to avoid this problem online during the unit operations leading to the production of maple syrup as well as in the final product. Overall good news for the team and the BTL will be proud to be on site with its partner in the upcoming 2021 season.
