Iván Darío Mora Vergara is a Chemical Engineer from the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), Colombia, where he also completed his master’s and doctoral studies in Chemical Engineering. His academic and professional background is focused on the development and optimization of catalysts for heterogeneous catalysis applications.
During his master’s studies, Iván focused on the development of catalysts for the energetic valorization of bio-oils. His doctoral research explored the green synthesis of zeolites with tailored properties, such as acidity and porosity, aimed at the conversion of glycerol into acrolein via dehydration.
Currently, Iván is a postdoctoral researcher at the Biomass Technologies Laboratory, working as part of a partner project.
