Farbod Farzi, EP, E.I.T. pursued his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering (Petrochemical Industries) at Amir Kabir University of Technology (Tehran, Iran) and holds an MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering from The University of Manchester (UK) with expertise in Energy systems and catalytic reaction engineering for environmental applications.
He has 12 years of industrial experience in Oil & Energy projects in engineering, procurement, business development, and project management during which he has accomplished more than 25 million USD worth of projects.
He joined the Department of Chemical and Biotechnology engineering at the Université de Sherbrooke in 2021 to pursue his Ph.D. in a catalyst development project for CO2 valorization applications. In parallel to his studies, he worked as a Research Professional at GRTP laboratory which secured funding with Mitacs in the amount of 270,000$ CAD.
In December 2024, he joined the Biomass Technology Laboratory as a Research Professional focusing on the development of the Power-to-X project
