
Ana Oliveira holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological and Environmental Sciences from the Universidade Santa Ursula (Brazil), obtained in 2009. She holds three master’s degrees, in environment (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – COPPE (Brazil)), environmental engineering (State University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)), and business administration from the School of Management – Université de Sherbrooke. Ana Oliveira has over eighteen years’ experience, during which she has held a variety of roles as project manager, research assistant, teacher, consultant and manager, building up solid expertise in the environmental field.
In 2013, Ana chaired the organizing committee for a research project on GHG emissions and waste management methods for the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC). In 2016, Ana participated in the first circular economy school in Quebec, organized by the EDDEC Institute and CERIUM at the Université de Montréal. In 2020, she played a key role as circular economy coordinator for the Synergie Estrie project, gaining extensive experience in municipal economic development.
As a teacher, she passionately shares her know-how and expertise with students at the Centre universitaire de formation en environnement et développement durable. In August 2023, to further her research on the circular economy, Ana decided to join the BLT for a PhD on the evaluation of the environmental and technico-economic performance of Power-to-X technologies. She has a keen interest in coaching, emotional intelligence and leadership.
