Guillaume Martinez
Postdoctoral fellow

Guillaume was born in Strasbourg, France. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s degree in analytical chemistry from the School of Chemistry, Polymers, and Materials (ECPM) in Strasbourg. During his academic education, he worked on various projects, including the analysis and characterization of the main barley proteins to optimize beer production, as well as the analysis of dyes and pigments for the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.

He obtained his doctoral degree in 2024 from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Sherbrooke. His doctoral project focused on developing analytical methods for the analysis of various contaminants such as pesticides, heavy metals, and flame retardants. The ultimate goal was to study the influence of these compounds on children’s neuronal development and to understand the mechanisms of exposure to these compounds.

Since then, Guillaume has dedicated himself to research, where he hopes to continue improving his expertise. He has joined LTB as a postdoctoral fellow to share his knowledge gained from his previous experiences.
