Amath holds an engineering degree in chemical engineering from the Polytechnic of Dakar (ESP) in Senegal and is currently pursuing his master’s studies in chemical engineering at the University of Sherbrooke. During his university studies, Amath obtained a higher technician diploma in chemical and agri-food industries before moving towards a specialization in chemical engineering. This choice was strongly motivated by a desire to contribute to the development of the Senegalese oil sector in the years to come. Petrochemistry is his main area of interest, and he has also completed a few internships in this field. Amath joined the LTB team as an intern and works on the optimization of the formulation of catalysts by extrusion for the dry reforming of methane.
