Lucas Henrique de Lima Girão is a Renewable Energy Engineer, graduated from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), Brazil. In 2023, he took part in an academic mobility program at the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA), in France, through BRAFITEC/CAPES, where he attended the Master 1 in Energy and Propulsion Engineering.
He later joined the BioWooEB research unit at CIRAD in Montpellier for a summer internship, working on the production of biochar from different biomass feedstocks. Responsible for physicochemical analyses, he contributed to the optimization of biochar characterization methods.
In Brazil, Lucas Henrique has been involved in several research projects on biomass valorization for the production of bioproducts and biofuels, notably at the Group of Technological Innovations and Chemical Specialties (UFC) and the Laboratory of Energy Conversion and Innovation (LCE+/UECE). His work focused on physicochemical analysis of various biomasses, biodiesel production, and the valorization of biomass through pyrolysis for sustainable energy solutions.
