After gratuating from Chimie ParisTech (Paris’ Technical Institute of Chemistry) in 2014, Camille specialised in biotechnology and biomass valorisation by completing a master’s degree at the University of Technology of Compiègne. She then carried out a PhD from 2016 to 2019, working in two major French research institutes, IFP Energies Nouvelles and INRAE (French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment). She focused on the identification of fungal enzymes able to improve the production of bioethanol from lignocellulosic biomass, and her research led to the characterisation of a new family of enzymes. Wishing to put her experience in microbial biotechnologies to good use, she joined the Biomass Technology Laboratory in 2020 to participate in research projects involving anaerobic digestion and alcoholic fermentation.
