Galli Federico (FG) graduated cum laude in 2012 in Industrial Chemistry and Management with a thesis concerning the study of two different highly non ideal systems, p-xylene/water /acetic acid and the dibasic ester mixture, i.e. dimethyl adipate, glutarate and succinate. In October 2012 FG started the PhD School in Industrial Chemistry with the title “Reduction of the carbon footprint of fuels and petrochemicals starting from vegetable oils”. FG is currently studying the biodiesel (BD) synthesis with particular reference to optimizing the reaction conditions and the BD distillation, in order to concentrate the unsatured fraction of methyl esters and treat it to obtain green chemical, i.e plasticizer. From 2019-2021 FG was post-doc at Polytechnique Montréal where he worked on a pilot unit for the partial oxydation of hydrocarbons and their subsequent polymerisation in a Fischer-Tropsch reactor. He is coiventor of a patent concerning that unit. From 2021 FG is Adjoint Professor at the department of chemical and biotechnological engineering at the Université de Sherbrooke
