Internships and training

The Chair is looking for trainees, masters, PhDs and postdoctoral fellows in the fields of chemical engineering, biotechnology engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, biology and biochemistry, always under the theme of conversion and adding carbon to biofuels and value-added biochemicals.

The analytical chemistry laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. Many research works concern the development of analytical methods related to the thermo-chemical processes developed at the Chair, in particular the characterization of biomass, the identification of products in the liquid, gaseous or solid phase. If you have the soul of a chemist analyst then this laboratory will please you and you will benefit from the knowledge of a versatile and efficient team.

OUR LABORATORY

Exceptional setting

Sherbrooke is a city of 160k citizens located 150 km from Montreal and 50 km from north of the US border. It is the main economic and cultural center of the Estrie region. This region offers varied outdoor activities with these ski resorts, numerous lakes and rivers, and three national parks. In addition, by working at the Chair, you will enjoy all the benefits of Université de Sherbrooke students such as sports facilities.

Discover our laboratory

The Chair’s laboratory has 400 m2 of pilot infrastructure located at 4070 Boulevard de Portland in Sherbrooke. The laboratory is shared with engineers and professionals from the companies Fractal and CRB Innovations. Reaction systems are usually designed, assembled and optimized on site ensuring a speed of execution generally exceeding expectations.
