Gabriel Cirilo Do Nascimento holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) in Brazil. Having successfully completed his master’s degree in mechanical engineering at UFRN, he is now excited to announce that he will begin a doctorate at the Biomass Technology Laboratory (BTL). During his undergraduate studies, he had the opportunity to work at a wind energy company, both in the office and in the field, and participated in projects involving programming languages and served as a teaching assistant. He also had the chance to complete two highly enriching internships at BTL, where he put his knowledge into practice by creating 3D drawings, exploring maple syrup production technologies, and studying heat transfer. It was during his second internship that he gained significant knowledge in mechanical engineering, working with welding and machining projects. These experiences allowed him to learn a great deal and significantly improve his French. He is very enthusiastic about continuing his research at BTL for his doctorate, where he will focus on energy recovery and heat exchange, topics he began exploring during his master’s degree.
